Behind the Screens is a unique opportunity for film fans aged 16 – 25 to gain valuable insight into the film industry, as well as some work experience as a film event programmer. It is free to participate and no is experience required.
The 15 week Programme consists of weekly face to face meetings in the cinema, with occasional meetings on zoom, where we will:
- watch, review and share opinions about films
- learn about different genres of films
- discover what happens behind the scenes at cinemas and film festivals
- learn how to programme, plan, market and present our own screenings
- visit a working cinema to find out about the different roles that people have there
- organise an event in the opening programme at The Electric Palace in Harwich
