Fort Flicks: Jurassic Park at the Harwich Redoubt
Join us for a special open-air screening of Jurassic Park at the Harwich Redoubt, bringing one of the world's most iconic films to one of our town's most iconic locations.
On Sunday 27 September, the historic fort will be transformed into an outdoor cinema for one afternoon only, screening Steven Spielberg's much-loved 1993 blockbuster.
Created by the Harwich Society in partnership with the Electric Palace Archive Project, Fort Flicks brings together film, fun and local heritage. Visitors are invited to explore the Redoubt when doors open at 1pm and enjoy a range of activities inspired by Jurassic Park and the fort itself before dinosaurs take over the big screen.

When Jurassic Park was first released in 1993, it was originally shown at the Electric Palace Cinema. More than 30 years later, Fort Flicks brings the film back to the town, giving audiences the chance to experience this much-loved classic in a completely new setting.
Bring a picnic blanket or camping chair, dress for the weather, and join us for an unforgettable afternoon at one of Britain's best-preserved Napoleonic forts.
Tickets: £5 per adult, with children under 15 admitted free of charge.
In a nod to Jurassic Park's original Electric Palace screening, a limited number of £1.50 adult tickets are also available on a first come, first served basis, matching the original 1993 ticket price. Use code FORT150 when booking.

Film Synopsis:
Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park follows Dr Alan Grant and Dr Ellie Sattler as they visit an extraordinary new theme park where dinosaurs have been brought back to life through genetic engineering. But when the park's security systems fail, the prehistoric creatures break free, putting everyone on the island in danger.
