The Tendring Thunderbirds plus Special Guest Tony O’Sullivan will be playing an Electric Palace concert on Thursday September 15th at 8:00 pm.

With many requests from fans and players for a return the EP’s own multi-style fun band – here they are – this time plus very special guest Tony O’Sullivan who is well known to Electric Palace audiences from his appearances with The Ken Colyer Legacy New Orleans Jazz Band and the Delta Jazz Band. Tony has played with many of the best N.O. bands both in the Crescent City and here in the UK from The New Iberia Stompers to The London Ragtime Orchestra and now his own Hot Five.

With Tony in the line-up the two trumpet band will bring more King Oliver and Jelly Roll Morton into the mix of New Orleans, Chicago, and Kansas City plus Ellington/Basie/ Hines/ as well as Hoagy Carmichael and Caribbean numbers.

The line-up of Trummy on trombone and euphonium plus the wonderful reeds duo of Frank and Evan guaranteeing great swing – and the peerless rhythm section of Mick ‘Mr. Ragtime’ Hurrell on piano, John Parker master guitar balladeer, the superbly melodic string bass of Mark Adams plus the broad spectrum of drumming skills delivered by Kevin Harris all point to another land-mark concert.
