Taking inspiration from similar events held in the 1970s, this summer we are aiming to create a Silver Mile inside the Electric Palace as part of the #OurElectricPalace fundraising appeal!
We are asking the community to collect silver coins from 5p to £2 and come and lay them at one of our event days! Dates are Sunday 22nd June, Friday 11th July and Saturday 23rd August, 10am – 12noon. Whether you have a rummage down the back of the sofa or place a collection pot in your workplace, every coin gets us closer to completing one Silver Mile which in turn takes the fundraiser nearer to its initial target of £70,000.
Workplaces, offices, pubs, cafes and restaurants can request a collection pot from the Electric Palace. The cinema is also arranging a collection service for anyone who would like to donate coins but cannot make it to one of the event days.
