James is homeless, a recovering drug addict, and desperate to turn his life around. He’s also alone and friendless – at least until he meets Bob. Taking a bath in a house his social worker found for him, he hears someone clattering about in another room. Discovering that it’s just a stray ginger tomcat, James adopts him, names him Bob, and soon finds that having an animal companion makes a huge difference to his life. This is a heartwarming true story based on the book by James Bowen, owner of the real-life Bob.
